Early Abortion
"What
about an early abortion?"
The notion of an 'early' abortion is changing.
Not long ago,
people considered a baby
to be a human being only after birth. Prenatal
imaging technology forced the baby to be recognized as a human being before birth and increasingly early in the pregnancy
as imaging and other medical technologies advanced and continue to advance.
The two photos below can easily be added to the
prior photos. The first is of a 16
week-old baby (early second trimester) and the second, a baby who
is just 8 weeks-old (first trimester). Do either of them not
look like a baby to you?
If you're considering an early abortion, consider
that a generation ago, before
prenatal imaging became popular, women routinely aborted babies during the
third trimester after assurance that they will not be killing a baby. Today,
they live with the guilt of having killed their own children.
If you have an early abortion today after assurances that you
won't be killing a baby, how will you feel in a couple of decades when continued scientific
advances redefine the baby you killed as a human being? Aren't the photos above
evidence enough that you are already a mother?
